I was required to take morning rounds of the patients admitted under my consultant physician and then attend the morning round with the consultant.

I was required to attend the outpatient department twice a week with my consultant.

There was a night call once every week wherein I had to attend new admissions and inform the concerned consultant of the same.

I was required to document and inform the concerned specialist about the new admissions under the specialist.

As a consultant physician, I was required to conduct pre-employment medical checkups of prospective employees and to document any clinical findings.

I was then required to correlate with the laboratory reports of those employees to decide on fitness.

As a occupational health doctor, I was required to conduct clinical examinations of maritime candidates to assess fitness with regards to the rank and responsibility on the ship as per Company guidelines.
